While her obedience routine in this trial was near perfect, A small error on the A frame cost us 15 points. Shrimpy has 8 offspring, and many trial in IGP sport. Shrimpy threw exceptional offspring and a dog to look for in the future in competitions is Aqua Vom Kampfgeistes. Shrimpy was a once in a lifetime dog, and she had the best qualities. In 2022, I arrived in Vienna, Austria excited, and driven to see the best German Shepherds that the country had to offer. To my luck I visited one of the most prestigious and historic kennels is an Austria. The Austrian kennel vom Haus Pixner is responsible for breeding some of the most influential breeding dogs in History. The most famous dogs of the 1990’s and early 2000’s for breeding include Sid vom Haus Pixner (owned by Elmer Mannes), and Mary vom Haus Pixner to only name a few. Woodstock vom Haus Pixner was the dog I wanted to see most in all of Europe, and my journey started the moment I landed on Austrian soil. Graciously, the current owner of Kennel “Pixner” opened his doors and taught me a lot about heritage, bloodlines and invited me to club trainings. At this time, Woodstock was in the peak of his training career, and led by Roland Haselmaier, won an impressive 6th place in Lerma, Spain at the WUSV world championship. When Woodstock walks into a room, you feel his presence and power immediately. It’s an unexplainable feeling and made me want more. “Can I put the sleeve on and work him?” I asked Roland. “Ok” Roland replied. From there, his training team Haselmaier suited me up in an apron took me in the basement of the training facility and put a sleeve on my arm and warned me that he bit hard. I have worked a lot of dogs in Canada, really good dogs. Usually you don’t feel much through a bite sleeve. I stood, confidentially waiting for Woodstock knowing that we would start with a bark and hold and I was backed into a corner. Roland released Woodstock to bark, and I couldn’t help but feel an instant rush of adrenaline. The Power of this dog was like nothing I had ever experienced. The time came to reward him for his barking, and I raised the stick to make a “threat” (although it was a signal to bite, it was definitely not threatening to Woodstock). I felt so much pressure on my arm, but my adrenaline kicked in and I then drove him, preformed some stick hits, and then slipped the sleeve. My arm was sore for over a week. Woodstock is definitely the hardest biter I have ever experienced and his power is unmatched. From there, I knew that one day I would use Woodstock for breeding and one day keep a puppy from him. Fast forward to 2025, January 2nd - my female import from Belgium Umika van Ferflo will be bred by Woodstock. A very exciting, and well anticipated litter. We are the first kennel in Canada to use Woodstock for breeding. Umika is a very special bitch, IGP 3 titled, Belgian WUSV universal Sieger championship qualifier participant, along with very nice blood that will compliment perfectly with Woodstock. Umikas fatherlines come from the well known Pierre Whalstrom from Sweden - her father being Imzedrifts Lotus. The mother of Lotus is Imzedrifts Claudia and his grandmother on the mother’s side is Imzedrifts Ulla-Tora. The fatherlines from Imzedrifts Lotus go back to Endy Von Karthago and Janko vom vorkwerkswald (owned by Jogi Zank). Umika also sports a very impressive motherline with very top producing dogs such as John Boy, Quintas Eqidius, Karn vom Fegelhof and many more. Umika is a firecracker and she is very willing to train in all phases. Calm and methodical in tracking, willing and powerful in obedience, with a serious bark and big grips in protection. Among all else, bomb proof. Umika and I traveled 3 different European countries and worked on many top handlers and helpers and she was complimented heavily wherever we went. The breeding will take place January, 2nd 2025. Puppies will be expected in March and ready for new homes in May 2025.
